Are you looking for the best Tile Manufacturers in Morbi? Then you are in the right place. Maybe you want to start a tile shop, become a dealer, or send a container of tiles abroad. At some point, you will land in one small city of Gujarat. That city is Morbi. Nearly all big tile makers in India make their tiles here or buy from the companies here.
There are hundreds of factories in Morbi. Many of them make tiles that look the same, and the boxes look the same too. So, it is easy to get confused. Moreover, searching for each factory takes a lot of time. To save your time, we have made a short and checked list of the Top 10 Tile Manufacturers in Morbi. It has their address, products, export details, and contact details.
How We Made This List
We made this list in October 2026. We used company websites, company filings, stock exchange papers, trade news and industry directories. Additionally, if we could not confirm a detail from a public source, we have clearly said so. We did not guess anything.
The ranks are our own opinion. We looked at the size of the plant, export history, product range, brand strength and how easy it is for a buyer to reach the company. This is not an official ranking. A company that is lower on the list can still be the right choice for your order.
You will also find a simple price guide, a checklist to verify any factory, a cost guide to start a tiles business, and a straight answer to the question “Is the Morbi industry shut?” You can read from top to bottom or jump to the part you need.
Why Morbi Is India’s Tile Capital
Morbi is a town in Gujarat, about 250 km from Ahmedabad. As told above, it makes almost 90 per cent of India’s ceramic goods and gives 80 to 90 per cent of India’s ceramic exports.
The number of factories here is different in different sources. Some say 700 units, some say 1,000 and some say 1,200. This depends on whether sanitaryware, polypack and other related units are counted. But one thing is clear. The workforce is huge. According to BBC News in 2026, the cluster gives work to about 400,000 people. Many of them are migrant workers from north and east India.
Morbi works well because everything is in one place. Raw clay, glaze, printing, packing boxes, machine services, truck owners, and export agents are all within a few kilometres. Moreover, Mundra and Kandla ports are just a day’s drive away. So a buyer can see 10 designs in a factory, place an order, and the container can be on its way in a few days.
This close setup is the biggest strength of Tile Manufacturers in Morbi. It is why they can offer much lower rates than makers in other parts of India. And it is why dealers from Kerala to Punjab send their trucks here every week.

When you buy from Wintel, treat it like any new supplier. Ask for the company profile, GST certificate, factory photos, product certificate and sample boxes. For a big order, visit the plant. These steps are good for all manufacturers. The checklist below explains how to do it.
Morbi Tiles Price Per Square Foot (2026 Guide)
The tile prices quoted in Morbi are usually ex-factory and ex-GST (18 per cent). The prices below come from trade guides and market reports for 2026. They are only rough ranges, not offers. Always ask for a written quote that has the grade, size, thickness and shade. Moreover, when you compare offers from different Tile Manufacturers in Morbi, make sure every offer has the same grade and the same terms. Otherwise, a lower price may simply mean lower quality.
Price by Tile Type
| Tile type | Typical price per sq ft (Rs) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ceramic wall tiles | 25 to 45 (ex-factory); 35 to 80 (retail) | Used in kitchens and bathrooms |
| GVT | 25 to 80 (ex-factory and dealer); retail up to 100 | Most popular in homes |
| PGVT | 45 to 120 | Higher gloss, more design range |
| Double charge | 30 to 60 | Good for shops and busy floors |
| Porcelain slabs | 60 to 120 | Large format, highest price per sq ft |
| Premium brand tiles | 80 to 150 or more | Leading branded names |
The Morbi Ceramic Association also fixed Rs 32 as the minimum base price for GVT tiles. It also raised tile prices by Rs 5 per sq ft from 1 June 2026. For exports, ceramic tiles cost around 2.80 US dollars per square metre. Porcelain tiles range between 5 and 9 dollars per square metre.
Price by Size and Grade
| Size (mm) | Standard grade (Rs/sq ft) | Premium grade (Rs/sq ft) |
|---|---|---|
| 300×600 wall | 25 to 40 | 40 to 55 |
| 600×600 | 25 to 45 | 45 to 70 |
| 800×800 | 40 to 60 | 60 to 90 |
| 600×1200 | 45 to 70 | 70 to 100 |
| 800×1600 | 70 to 100 | 100 to 130 |
| 1200×1800 slab | 90 to 120 | 120 to 150+ |
These figures are a mix of many sources. So treat them only as rough ranges. In Morbi, the grades are usually premium, standard and commercial. One design can have three different prices, based on the grade. So always read the box label.
How to Choose and Verify a Morbi Tiles Manufacturer
Do not place a big order with any of the Tile Manufacturers in Morbi before you do these checks:
- GST: Ask for the GST certificate and verify the GST number on the GST portal.
- Company details: Check the company name and CIN on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs website.
- IEC: If you are exporting, check the Importer Exporter Code on the DGFT site.
- Test reports: Ask for an ISO, CE or other test report for the same type of tile you are buying.
- Samples: Ask for samples and test water absorption, thickness and shade.
- Final dispatch: Compare the sample with the final dispatch before you pay.
- Reviews: Check Google reviews for the specific plant, not just the brand name.
- Factory visit: Visit the factory for a large order. Many Morbi plants welcome buyers.
- Payment: Send money to a company account, not a personal account.
- Written terms: Agree on the grade, size, shade lot and breakage in writing.
Conclusion
If you want bulk tiles at fair factory prices, Morbi is the place. Large plants, modern machines and long export experience make the Tile Manufacturers in Morbi hard to match anywhere else in India. Whether you want budget wall tiles or big porcelain slabs, the ten names in this guide have it all. They range from Simpolo, Varmora, Qutone and Sunhearrt to Kajaria and AGL. Each one has different strengths. So do not choose a maker only because of the price.
2026 was a hard year for the cluster. There were gas shortages, a two-month closure and a sharp fall in exports. This pushed prices up, and “firm” rates are expected for 2027. For now, the factories are running again. There is also real competition between Morbi units and national brands, which is good news for a careful buyer.
